KartVantage is operated by Ewebster Infotech ("KartVantage", "we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains how we handle information when a Shopify merchant installs or uses the KartVantage app.
Information we process
- Shop domain and Shopify installation and authentication data.
- Authorised Shopify user details included in app sessions, such as name, email address, locale, account-owner status, and collaborator status.
- Merchant-created rule names, settings, messages, versions, and publication status.
- Operational records needed to synchronise rules, diagnose errors, protect the service, and keep an audit history of merchant actions.
- Product information made available through Shopify when a merchant selects products for a rule or offer.
KartVantage does not request Shopify customer-data scopes and does not build customer profiles. Its storefront blocks use Shopify cart data in the merchant's storefront to display guidance and perform merchant-configured cart actions; the current Core release does not send that buyer cart data to KartVantage for storage.
How we use information
We process information only as needed to:
- authenticate merchants and operate the app;
- save, publish, synchronise, and troubleshoot cart rules;
- provide support and respond to merchant requests;
- protect the app, merchants, and Shopify platform; and
- meet legal and Shopify platform obligations.
We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Service providers and international processing
We use Shopify and infrastructure providers that host the application, database, and operational services. These providers may process data in countries other than the merchant's country. We limit access to what is necessary to provide and protect KartVantage and require providers to handle data under their applicable contractual and legal duties.
Retention and deletion
We retain information while it is needed to operate KartVantage, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or protect the service. When an app is uninstalled, its Shopify sessions are removed and synchronisation is stopped. App-owned shop data is deleted when Shopify sends the mandatory shop-redaction request, except where limited retention is legally required.
Your choices and rights
Depending on location, a merchant or authorised individual may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive information connected with their use of KartVantage. Shopify customer privacy requests are handled through Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when KartVantage's features, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
Website visitors
The KartVantage marketing website is hosted separately from the Shopify app. Its hosting service may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and protect the website. If you email us, we process the information you provide to respond to your request.
The website theme does not add analytics, advertising trackers, or embedded third-party media. WordPress may use necessary cookies for authenticated site administration. Any additional services enabled on the deployed website should be reflected in this policy.
